Games of the Day

The only game Wednesday afternoon features the Athletics at the Astros as Jesse Hahn faces Dallas Keuchel. Hahn has excellent control, walking nine in 38 2/3 innings with just one home run allowed. He gives up a ton of hits, however, leading to his high ERA. Keuchel goes for his sixth win against no losses. He is a lefty who manages to hold right-handed batters to a .190/.258/.245 slash line this season.

The Mariners send Roenis Elias against the Orioles and Wei-Yin Chen. Elias’s innings have been fairly evenly split home and road (12 and 13 respectively). He’s a allowed three of his four homers away. Chen allowed four of his six home runs at home, so look for long balls in this game.

Chase Anderson and the Diamondbacks take on David Phelps and the Marlins. Anderson has yet to allow a home run on the road this season in 17 1/3 innings, helping him to a 1.56 ERA away. Phelps owns a 1.75 ERA as a starter, having given up four runs in one inning as a reliever.

Enjoy!
