Flat Beer

The Brewers must be using dead yeast:

With only 23 runs scored in nine games, the Brewers are averaging 2.56 runs per game. Though shorter in length — thus far — it has been a team-wide drought reminiscent of the one that knocked the Brewers from the playoff race last season in a horrendous 9-22 finish.

The Brewers hit .224/294/.322 in that finishing stretch, posting a .203 BA with runners in scoring position and slugging .264 with men on base. Coming into today’s game, they were at .229/.283/.346 for the season. That didn’t improve with a 6 for 34, all singles, and just one walk. The Cardinals won 4-0.
