Changes, Texas Rangers

With major league teams going through trading frenzies this off-season, Baseball Musings takes a look at the players added by each team this off-season, continuing with the Texas Rangers. The Rangers brought in the following players from other organizations:

Detwiler and Gallardo should solidify a rotation that suffered from injury in 2014. Gallardo no longer has to carry the starting staff, as that job belongs to Yu Darvish.

With Jurickson Profar expected to miss another season, DeShields could become important to the team. He owns a very good, but not great OBP in the minors, as his strength as a batter is his eye, used in drawing walks. Health will be key to the Rangers in 2015, and with Profar out they are not getting off to a good start.
