Gil Hodges: A Hall of Fame Life arrived in the mail today. I opened to a random chapter called Okinawa, and was drawn in. The first few pages sets Hodges personality, a very private man who controlled his interactions with the press, as well as a humble man who didn’t want to look like a hero. If the rest of the book is as good as those few pages it will be well worth the read.
