Panik Attack

With two out in the bottom of the third, Gregor Blanco singles, and Joe Panik follows with a home run down the rightfield line. The Cardinals lead doesn’t last long as the two-run shot puts the Giants up 2-1 at the end of three. That’s the Giants first home runs since Brandon Belt hit one in game two of the NLDS against Washington.

Update: Matt Adams leads off the fourth and immediately ties the game with a home run to right. The ball seems to be carrying well tonight. St. Louis and San Francisco are tied at two.

Update: With two out, Tony Cruz takes Madison Bumgarner out to leftfield, and the Cardinals lead 3-2. It’s a long-ball game for a change.
