Orioles Take the AL East

The Orioles beat the Blue Jays 8-2 Tuesday night for their 91st win and their first AL East title since 1997. Steve Pearce hit his 18th home run of the season in the first, a three-run shot that decided the ball game. He hit just 17 home runs in his previous seven seasons. Jimmy Paredes added a solo shot as the Orioles keep powering past their opponents. They have now out-homered the competition 196-140, a big reason why they rule the AL East this season.
